The Washington Room is named after Mount Washington, a tiny hamlet on the other side of the Taconic range, about 2 miles as the crow flies. This room features a high wood-beamed ceiling, and a full-size bed with headboard and footboard. It has an antique chest of drawers, a writing desk and chair, a cricket chair, ceiling fan and a large closet. The room is decorated in pale greens with blue curtains over ivory lace sheers, handmade quilts, and a thought-provoking lithograph on the walls. The window offers a view of the Mount Everett forest in back. The room floor is hardwood oak with a large area rug. The newly renovated shared bath is 2 steps down the hall that includes a tub and shower, blow dryer, make-up mirror, spare towels and pull-out clothesline over the tub. The Washington Room is a non-pet friendly room, and it is not ADA compliant since it is on the second floor.
